Jesus Did It for You and for Me

1. Come to the garden where Jesus prayed,
Where all our sins on His soul were laid,
Where sweat drops of blood fell from His head:
Jesus did it for you and for me.

Ch: Jesus bore sin’s penalty, He won our victory.
At His own cost, He suffered such loss,
Dying on Mount Calvary.
Atonement is done, Jesus has won.
The Old Rugged Cross was our tree;
But, He paid the price with His sacrifice:
Jesus did it for you and for me.

2. Come to His judgment with Pilate and friends
Where he was mocked and wrongly condemned,
He could have called down judgment on them;
But, He did it for you and for me.

3. Come to the cross where our Savior died,
Pierced through his hands, His feet and His side.
Yet, “Forgive them, Father, Jesus cried,
And He did it for you and for me.

Ch: Jesus bore sin’s penalty, He won our victory.
At His own cost, He suffered such loss,
Dying on Mount Calvary.
Atonement is done, Jesus has won.
The Old Rugged Cross was our tree;
But, He paid the price with His sacrifice:
Jesus did it for you and for me.

4. Come to the tomb where He was laid;
Death’s seeming triumph there was displayed.
He rose again and He lives, today:
And He did it for you and for me.

Ch:
Jesus bore sin’s penalty, He won our victory.
At His own cost, He suffered such loss,
Dying on Mount Calvary.
Atonement is done, Jesus has won.
The Old Rugged Cross was our tree;
But, He paid the price with His sacrifice:
Jesus did it for you and for me.
Atonement is done, Jesus has won.
The Old Rugged Cross was our tree;
But, He paid the price with His sacrifice:
Jesus did it for you and for me.
Jesus did it for you and for me.
He did it for you and for me.
