Greencastle Church of the Nazarene was organized in 1917. We are one congregation of a Church of the Nazarene, which has members in more than 150 nations around the world, whose mission is "To Make Christlike Disciples in All the Nations."

We believe:

1. In one God - the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

2. That the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.

3. That man is born with a fallen nature and is, therefore, inclined to evil and that continually.

4. That the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternall lost.

5. That the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race, and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.

6. That believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

7. That the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth and also to the entire sanctification of believers.

8. In the return of our Lord, in the resurrection of the dead, and in the final judgment.

Sunday School is for Everyone, Including You!

The Church is the place to be at 9:30 am, each Sunday morning, for Bible Study and personal connection with a small group of God's people. Two adult classes, a teen class, and 4 children's classes offer a place for everyone.

Sanctuary Groundbreaking - May 30, 2010

Mayor Sue Murray joined the church as we broke ground for our new sanctuary on May 30, immediately after dedication of the Vernon and Lillian Abbott Memorial Entryway.
